The Classroom

The classroom is a multifunction
setting where playing and preschool
are combined.

When we are not doing preschool
activities, our classroom features
an extensive dramatic play area,
lots of books to enjoy and a great
selection of manipulative and
exploratory toys.
The classroom supports learning by
giving children the opportunity to
choose their own methods of play
and allowing them to share their
ideas with other children freely.
Each material available is selected
based on educational opportunity,
durability, and versatility of use.
The Living Room

We relax, eat, learn, and play in the
living room.  This spacious room
features soft furniture for
reading and quiet time, a child
sized table and chairs for meals
and art activities and lots of room
to stretch and explore.
The living room also includes a
changing area and hand
washing sink.  The children's
artwork is displayed where
they can view it proudly and
each child has a
personalized
hook and tote bag for storage.
Next to the living room is an
additional classroom space for
small group learning.
Outside

Learning continues outside.  Our outdoor space has
areas for large muscle development, dramatic play,
and science exploration.  There are three large
chalkboards for exploring art and a deck area for
playing when the snow is deep!  Activities include
looking for bugs, playing in the sandboxes, throwing
and catching balls, gardening, and much more.

In the coming Spring, we will continue to expand our
discovery garden in front of the deck.  We began
exploration of vegetable gardening this year with
planting and tending tomatoes and preparing the
beds for additional crops next year.
